Originally the Centre was opened in 1984. We became incorporated in November 1984. Ever since then the Centre has remained open thirty-five to fourty hours per week through the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Some are paid staff that are funded through various programs. Listed are some of the services that the Centre provides: Referrals for Students, School Lunch Program, Workshops, Assisting Transients, Helping social assistance clients access their basic needs, Children's summer programs, Native language and cultural training, Legal Clinic. We celebrated the Centre's eighteenth anniversary on October 15, 2002.
