In order to effectively manage and administer the increasing number of centrally managed and administered Programs, the Federation has recently adopted a comprehensive Program Management Policy. This cornerstone Policy has been designed to provide guidance and clear direction to the Member Friendship Centres, OFIFC Programmes Committee, senior OFIFC Managers and Program staff with respect to managing OFIFC Programs. In addition to these internally managed and administered Programs, the Federation participates in a variety of Aboriginal or joint Aboriginal and government managed initiatives. Some examples of some of these initiatives include: Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy, Aboriginal Patient Advocates Project, Southern Ontario Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative, Ontario Native Council on Justice, and the Aboriginal (Off-Reserve) Health Authority.
